" As a bubble fanatic, I think this is the best bubble toy on the market. The simple reservoir system is easy to master and provides clean, quick reloading using only one hand. The only design flaw appears to be the lid which cracks with age. I am on my third bubble bear in 20 years so it is a minor flaw !"

Make Your Own Bubbles
June 25, 2009

Mix in slowly, so as not to create lather, one part Dawn dish detergent, or Joy II, to 10 parts warm-ish water (i.e.. 1/2 cup of detergent and 5 cups of water. Distilled water works best if you have it. Scrape off any lather.

We like to add 1-2 Tablespoons of glycerine, available at any pharmacy in the skin care section, which makes the bubbles last longer. More if you are making a greater quantity.  This helps slow down the evaporation of water. Glycerin is not required on days of high humidity (50% or higher) because evaporation is slowed down naturally on humid days. Safe to use but too much can make your formula too heavy.

Store in a clean, sealed container. Only pour the amount you need and keep the rest covered so evaporation doesn't thicken your solution. It can be helpful but not necessary to let it sit 24 hours before using it.

You can also add store bought bubble solution to the mix to make even better bubbles.

If you have not tried our amazing Touchable bubbles, no spill bubble tumblers, giant rope wands, turbo bubble blower, the Pustefix bubbles from Germany, or the seen the bubble machine in action do come in to play...

Happy Bubbling!
